Do I need a lightbox?

Original cinema advertising campain poster artwork is designed to be backlit. The lighting adds depth, increases colour contrast and perseption reaveling details unseen unless illuminated. You will instantly see the difference between a non lightbox poster frame and ours.

Are backlit and illuminated frames the same as a lightbox ?

Yes, cinema poster lightboxes are called many thing but are all essenally the same.

Are the lightboxes safe to use ?

Yes. All the electrical componants are up to British standards and the LED’s are housed in the aluminium channel of the frame profile.

Will the light damage my poster?

No. The LED’s installed do not emit light in the UV range and very low levels of IR (heat) the damaging part of the electromagnectic spectrum.

How are the lightboxes powered ?

All emp lightboxes have a 12v DC power cable and come complete with a UK plug.

Can I attach a lightbox to a wall?

Every EMP lightbox comes complete with a fully adjustible hanging fixture.

Move the included “D rings” to the desired position and tighten in place.

The largest model weighs less than 5kg’s meaning they can be attached to a surface using adhesive 3M Velcro strips with time and care.

Every lightbox can be hung portrait or landscape, or can even be suspended from the ceiling.

Both single sided and double sided posters in “Quad” or “One Sheet” format work depending on the style of art.

Do double sided “DS” posters work better in a lightbox ?”

Double-sided posters are purposely designed for lightboxes, which give them an amazing additional three-dimensional effect.
